LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Abigail Rehfuss has announced the 2018 schedule. The 17-game slate features nine home contests for the Saints.

The Saints begin their 2018 campaign with a home opener as they host Colgate on Wednesday, February 21 at 2p.m. Siena will then travel to Burlington, Vermont to take on the Catamounts who the Saints defeated last season 12-10. The matchup is set for Wednesday, February 28 at 2 p.m.

Siena will then travel to West Point, New York to take on a new opponent in Army West Point. The Black Knights have only had women’s lacrosse as an NCAA varsity sport since 2016. Siena will then host LIU Brooklyn (Mar. 6), Lafayette (Mar. 14), and St. Bonaventure (Mar. 21) with a road trip in the middle to Central Connecticut (Mar. 9) before the MAAC opener.

Fairfield plays host to the Saints in the MAAC opener on Saturday, March 24. Siena will play their second new opponent in UMBC on Wednesday, March 28 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Retrievers fell to UAlbany in the NEC semifinals last year and finished with an 11-6 overall record.

Siena returns back to the Capital region to host NCAA-participant Bryant on Saturday, March 31 at 4 p.m. The Bulldogs have won the NEC Championship in three of the last four seasons. The Saints will then host reigning MAAC Championships, Canisius, who went undefeated in league play last season on Wednesday, April 4 at 4 p.m. The Golden Griffins have won the league in six of the last seven years.

On a season-long three-game road trip, Siena will travel to Iona (Apr. 7), Niagara (Apr. 11) and Manhattan (Apr. 14). Before coming back to Siena Turf Field for a season-long three-game homestand. The Saints host Quinnipiac (Apr. 18), Monmouth (Apr. 21) and end the regular season hosting MAAC rival Marist on Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m.



The MAAC Tournament will begin on April 28 with the semifinals and the championship taking place on May 5. The tournament will be hosted by the regular season champions.

Siena looks begin their 2018 season with three of the top-five scorers from last season returning, including reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year, Alexis Deaken.
